How to assemble a do-it-yourself “Perchina” greenhouse

Greenhouse assembly includes the following steps:

  1. Choosing a place to install.
  2. Assembly of the frame.
  3. Assembly of the end sides.
  4. Installation on the ground.
  5. Door installation.
  6. Fastening the coating.

Important! The larger the greenhouse, the more spacious the plants and people in it, the more stable the temperature, the larger the yield, however, more covering material is required.

Assembly is carried out according to the numbering of parts in the instructions and arrows indicating the installation direction, in the prepared holes on the parts.

Frame assembly

In order to assemble the frame:

  1. Connect the uprights (1) to the supports (3) with screws in 2 places, tightening well (18 pieces).
  2. Connect the parts of the longitudinal connecting (2) (3 pieces each).
  3. From the right end of the resulting longitudinal connecting, attach the extreme part of the longitudinal connecting (2K) so that 1 straight line is obtained. Repeat for the next 4 parts from 3 segments of the longitudinal connecting (2) in step 2.
  4. Attach the free end of the extreme part of the longitudinal connecting (2K) to the bottom of the post (1) perpendicularly, repeat at the top.
  5. Moving along the fastened longitudinal connecting (2), attach 3 more posts (1).
  6. Attach the extreme arc (4K) perpendicular to the extreme part of the longitudinal connecting (2K) to the rack (1), it should be a continuation of the rack.
  7. At a distance from the extreme arc (4K) between the longitudinal connecting (2) and extreme longitudinal connecting (2K) perpendicular to them and parallel to the extreme arc (4K) on the rack (1) attach the arc (4).
  8. Moving further along the longitudinal connecting (2), attach another 2 arcs (4).
  9. To the free end of the extreme arc (4K), perpendicularly attach the extreme part of the longitudinal connecting (2K) from the part made in step 3. Attach the free ends of 3 more arcs (4) further along this part perpendicularly.
  10. Attach an extreme arc (4K) and 3 more arcs (4) perpendicularly to this design, forming an arch.
  11. To the free ends of the arcs (4K, 4), perpendicularly attach the part from the longitudinal connecting (2K, 2) according to paragraph 3.
  12. Continuing the line of arcs (4K, 4), connect 4 uprights (1) perpendicular to the longitudinal connecting (2K, 2).
  13. The lower parts of the racks to connect the part of the longitudinal connecting (2K, 2) in paragraph 3.
  14. Set aside the received part of the frame.
  15. Make 1 more part of the frame by repeating steps 2–13. In paragraph 3, attach the extreme part of the longitudinal connecting (2K) on the left side of the segment of 3 longitudinal connecting (2).
  16. Connect the 2 received parts of the frame, fastening together the parts of the longitudinal connecting (2). The distance between the arches at the mount will be greater than other places.
  17. At the junction of the parts on both sides of the longitudinal connecting (2) located in the center of the arch, attach the middle arc (4C) so that the resulting arch is parallel to the rest.
  18. Attach the lower ends of the middle arc (4C) on both sides to the uprights (1) in line with them and perpendicular to the longitudinal connecting (2).
  19. Attach the posts (1) to the longitudinal connectors (2) perpendicular to them in the upper and lower parts on both sides.
  20. The frame is ready.

Important! Do not tighten the screws completely until the greenhouse frame is finally installed on the ground (except for fixing the supports). When installing the profiles, direct their side shelves outward to the cover.

End assembly

To assemble the ends:

  1. Install the upper right pillar of the aperture (9-2P) perpendicular to the soil surface, connect at the top with the extreme arc (4K) using a screw.
  2. Attach the end coupler (8) with 1 end perpendicular to the upper right strut (9-2P), with the other end to the longitudinal connecting part (2K) located on the upper right, so that they are in the same plane and at the same time are perpendicular to each other.
  3. Install the upper left pillar of the aperture (9-2L) perpendicular to the soil surface, connect at the top with the extreme arc (4K) using a screw.
  4. Attach the end coupler (8) with 1 end perpendicular to the upper left pillar (9-2L), with the other end to the longitudinal connecting piece (2K), located on the upper left, so that they are in the same plane and at the same time are perpendicular to each other.
  5. Connect the lower pillar of the aperture (9-1) to the upper right pillar of the aperture (9-2P).
  6. Connect the lower pillar of the aperture (9-1) to the left upper pillar of the aperture (9-2L).
  7. Attach the opening coupler (10) perpendicular to the lower posts of the opening (9-1).
  8. Attach the detail of the end coupler (8) at the bottom 1 with the end perpendicular to the lower pillar of the opening (9-1), with the other end to the longitudinal connecting part (2K) located at the bottom right, so that they are in the same plane and are perpendicular to each other .
  9. Attach the detail of the end coupler (8) at the bottom 1 with the end perpendicular to the lower pillar of the opening (9-1), with the other end to the longitudinal connecting piece (2K), located at the bottom left, so that they are in the same plane and are perpendicular to each other .
  10. The opening coupler (10) and the end couplers on the right and left (8) should form 1 straight line.
  11. In the same way, collect the end from the opposite side.
In the Perchina-M model, it is necessary to install additional parts for reinforcing the posts from the ends.

Foundation selection

This greenhouse can be installed without foundation, just level the soil so that the doors open freely and the edges of the coating are slightly dusted. To fix the “Pepper”, it is enough to bury the special ends of the frame, for this it is necessary:

  1. On the site where the greenhouse will be installed, make markings for the frame supports (3).
  2. Using the cord, check if the diagonals are equal, otherwise the rectangle will not work.
  3. In the marked places, dig holes to the depth of the shovel bayonet so that there is the same distance between the arches of the frame and they are parallel to each other.
  4. Insert the assembled frame with supports (3) into the holes so that the lower parts of the longitudinal connecting (2, 2K), the lower parts of the end couplers (8) and the coupler of the opening (10) rest against the soil.
  5. Again check the equality of the diagonals, make sure that the upper and lower longitudinal connecting parts (2, 2K) are in a straight line horizontally and parallel to each other. If necessary, add a little soil to the hole or vice versa, deepen it.
  6. Fill the holes with soil, tamp.
  7. Sprinkle the edges of the greenhouse with earth.
  8. Tighten the screws all the way.
  9. Attach the large door diagonal (15) to the center of the small door diagonal (14) at right angles.
  10. At the edges of the horizontal door (13D), perpendicularly attach to it 1 part of the door vertical (12D).
  11. Connect the central points of the door verticals (12D) with the horizontal detail of the door (13D).
  12. Attach the upper ends of the fastened small (14) and large (15) door diagonals to the upper corners of the formed part. As a result, they form the letter X, the lower ends of which must be attached to the center of the door verticals (12D) - in the place where the door horizontal (13D) is attached to it.
  13. Connect the lower ends of the door vertical (12D) with the horizontal of the door (13D).
  14. Repeat step 8.
  15. Attach the upper ends of the fastened small (14) and large (15) door diagonals in the center of the door vertical (12D). The result is the letter X, the lower ends of which are attached to the lower ends of the vertical doors (12D). The fastening points of the door diagonals (14, 15) to the vertical (12D) are in the corners of the horizontal fastening (13D).
  16. Assemble another 1 door, following steps 8-14.
  17. Attach the hinges to the doors and doorway.
  18. After the cover is fixed, hang the doors.
  19. To level the soil in front of the doors, check whether they open freely.

Frame cladding

The frame can be sheathed:

  • film - in the Perchina model;
  • non-woven covering material - in the Perchina model;
  • polycarbonate - in the models “Perchina-M”, “Perchina-M plus”.

Important! The site for installing the greenhouse should be at least 1 m from trees, buildings and structures so that snow or ice that has fallen from there does not damage it.

Instead of a film, you can use a non-woven covering material or combine both materials. It is recommended that the top and exit end be covered with a piece of film 6 × 4.7 m, and the rear end with a non-woven covering material with a piece of 1.8 × 2 m. Then light will penetrate from above the plants and rain will not penetrate, and fresh from the back air. In places where the film is in contact with the frame of the greenhouse, it is recommended to put pieces of old film or non-woven covering material so that the coating does not rub against friction.

How to cover the frame of the Perchina greenhouse:

  1. Cut pieces of film or covering material. With a width of 6 m, a piece of 6.5 m - 4.7 m long is cut out from it to cover the top and output end, 1.8 m to cover the rear end. If the width of the film is different, the sizes of the pieces change accordingly. In any case, when buying a film, you need to consider that it overlaps.
  2. Place a 4.7 m side across the tunnel, 6 m in length along it. Stack from the rear end, above the entrance, leave the end of the film overhanging.
  3. Install the clamps-arcs on the extreme arches (4K), and the direct clamps on each of the posts (1).
  4. If the shelter is cut from pieces of a different size, install the clamps-arcs on the middle arches (4C).
  5. Close the rear end with another piece of film, install the clamps on its racks.
  6. Insert the hooks from the thread into the holes of the upper ends of the uprights, which will hold the upper edge of this piece of coating.
  7. Sprinkle the bottom edge of the cover with soil.
  8. On the entrance side there are hinged rails with pins that stick into the ground when you open or close the entrance. Attach the film with thread with hooks.

In other models, they are coated with cellular polycarbonate. Before attaching the cover, make sure that the frame is well aligned, the arches are parallel to each other, the longitudinal joints are parallel to the ground, otherwise the edges of the polycarbonate will not lie parallel to the arches. In order to cover the Perchina-M plus greenhouse with polycarbonate, 2 sheets of 2.1 × 6 m in size and 4 mm thick are needed. Read also articles on this topic:

How to build a winter greenhouse in Siberia? Types of greenhouses All articles Of these, with the help of a jigsaw or a hacksaw with small teeth, details of the following sizes are cut out:

  • on the door - 2 parts 80.5 × 148 cm;
  • on top - 210 × 452 cm;
  • 2 parts 10 × 81 cm;
  • on top - 210 × 445 cm;
  • 4 parts are used to cover the sidewalls of the end, each of them consists of a rectangle 40 cm wide and 99.2 cm high, which ends with a figure, where the sides are 40 cm wide below, 55.8 cm high and 14 cm wide at the end, and are formed by straight lines, and the fourth side has the shape of an arc;
  • in addition to covering the sidewalls of the end face - 2 parts with 1 straight side 99.2 cm high and 1 arched side, its dimensions are determined by application.

All parts have the same allowance of 2–2.5 cm. First you need to cut out the patterns that are applied to the polycarbonate sheets and make the marking with a marker.

Important! After marking, be sure to mark on the sheet under the film the side that is protected from ultraviolet radiation according to the inscription on the film and should be outside.

After the details are cut out, the transportation film is removed from them and lapped. Over the edges of the arcs, the parts should protrude evenly. If this cannot be achieved, the frame may have been poorly aligned. For fastening use screws M4. Drill inside the greenhouse according to the holes on the frame. The coating details are pressed against the frame using a load. Using washers, they are fixed along the extreme arcs (4K), the middle arc (4C), and the posts (1) through one. The edges of the parts prior to installation are glued with tape to protect them from dirt, insects, water; from heat loss install seals. After installing the cover on the door, they are hung in place and a turntable is installed.

Pinwheel installation

In the model “Perchina-M” cut out:

  • for the sides - 2 parts measuring 210 × 444 cm;
  • for doors - 4 parts: width below 78 cm, height 1 side 1 m, it is connected to the opposite side by a height of 156 cm part of a circle with a radius of 78 cm.

After installing the cover on the door, clamps, hooks, hinges are attached to them, the doors are attached to the frame.

Tips for the maintenance and operation of the Perchina greenhouse

To increase the effectiveness of “Pepper”, you can offer these recommendations:

  1. Make a semblance of foundation from improvised materials - timber, bricks, foam blocks, etc. So it will last longer.
  2. Install a heating system - a potbelly stove, a gas burner. So you can get an earlier crop.
  3. Be sure to ventilate. So you can prevent the development of pests and pathogens.
Did you know? Shigeharu Shimamura from the Japanese city of Kashiwa, thanks to the installation of purple lamps in the greenhouse and the placement of lettuce on 16-tiered racks, increased its yield by 100 times.

Thus, the Perchina greenhouse not only has a large number of advantages during operation, but also does not cause trouble during installation. It is an excellent choice for small plots, it can be chosen by those who are just starting to grow products in greenhouses. However, it should be remembered that installation and use must be in accordance with the instructions.
