Automatic Blitz incubator norm 72: instruction manual
An incubator is an aggregate that is used both in small farms and on poultry farms. The essence of his work is to maintain favorable conditions for the removal of chicks artificially. In this article you will learn about the Blitz Norm 72 incubator. You can familiarize yourself with the history of the brand, the description of the incubator, its characteristics, as well as its advantages and disadvantages below. In addition, a step-by-step instruction has been posted on how to use the Blitz Norm 72 properly.
Device description
The Blitz brand appeared in the city of Orenburg (Russia) in 1996. At the end of the 20th century, it was rather difficult to get an incubator, and to solve this problem, a resident of Orenburg, engaged in the breeding of birds, assembled the apparatus on his own. Soon friends of an amateur engineer became interested in the machine. A large number of people interested in purchasing an incubator became the reason for creating an aggregate of their own production. Today, the brand is popular not only in Russia but also abroad.
Did you know? The first Blitz device was created in the garage of one of the Orenburg residents. The device turned out to be working and effective.
Blitz Norm 72 differs from other incubators of the same line. First of all, it should be noted such a function as automatic egg flipping every two hours. This means that the filling material is heated evenly from all sides, and there is no need to participate in the process - the machine will do everything on its own. The angle of eggs is about 45 ° with an error of 5 °.
The device is equipped with a digital control panel and a display on which temperature indicators are displayed. In the event of a sharp drop or increase of this indicator inside the incubator, an audible signal sounds. Blitz Norm 72 is equipped with a ventilation system, with the help of which there is a uniform distribution of heat and humidity level over the incubator. Also inside the device there is a built-in mechanical humidifier.
Important! If you plan to place quail eggs in the device, then at the time of ordering, check with the manufacturer for the need to supplement the incubator set with a special lattice for quail eggs.
Specifications
When choosing an incubator, most of the attention is paid precisely to the technical characteristics. The functionality of the Blitz Norm 72 can be found in the table:
Working voltage | 220 V and 12 V |
Power | 137 watts |
Temperature Accuracy | 0.1 ° C |
Operating temperature range | 35-40 ° C |
Capacity (number of eggs) | 72 chicken, 50 turkey, 30 goose, 57 duck, 200 quail |
Mass without eggs | 4, 5 kg |
Dimensions | 700 mm * 350 mm * 320 mm |
The humidity level inside the incubator can be adjusted from 30 to 85%. Battery life is about 18 hours. However, the machine can operate both on battery and on battery. In the event of a voltage drop in the mains, the incubator will automatically switch to another mode and will work from battery power.
Did you know? Care must be taken to monitor the humidity inside the incubator. An increased level of moisture can negatively affect the development of embryos, so if necessary, it is better to set the level lower (a low level of humidity has a less harmful effect on the future chick).
Advantages and disadvantages
To understand whether this unit is suitable for you, you should familiarize yourself with the advantages and disadvantages of the incubator.

User's manual
Blitz Norm 72 is suitable for both poultry farmers with experience and novice owners. Regardless of the level of preparedness, before you start working with the incubator, you should read the instructions for its use.
Preparing the incubator for work
Before the test run, the incubator is mounted on a flat and hard surface. The next step is to set the humidity level on a special control panel. If eggs of waterfowl eggs are placed inside the incubator, this indicator should be about 60%, for land - about 40-45%. The humidity level changes before biting. The indicators increase to 85% if the device contains eggs of waterfowl and up to 70% for land. Then you need to connect the battery.
Important! Before starting the unit, it is necessary to check the battery operation. To do this, the unit is disconnected from the network (all systems should work in the same way as before the shutdown). After a while, you can reconnect the machine to the network to check how the switching mode from offline mode works.
At the bottom of the incubator near the walls are two baths. Warm water is poured into them, the temperature of which is about 45 ° C. Tanks should be filled halfway with water. The next item is the installation of a special egg tray. To install it, do as it is written in the instructions: on the one hand, the tray is lowered onto the support pin all the way, on the other, the tray should abut against the shaft of the gear motor.
Did you know? Ideal for incubation is considered a temperature of 37.8 ° C. According to the manufacturer, the error in measuring temperature at Blitz Norma is only 0.1 ° C.
40 minutes after turning on the temperature, you should check how well the unit has warmed up. During this time, the temperature should become stable. For further measurements, a gyrometer is required. The incubator is left for 2.5 hours, and after the specified time, check the humidity level inside the chamber.
Egg laying
It is necessary to connect the incubator to the power system, warm the inner chamber to a temperature of 37.8 ° C, disconnect and only then place the material inside the chamber. The humidity level in the incubator is set in accordance with the type of birds whose eggs are placed on the wire rack (for humidity indicators, see the section on preparing the incubator for work). Before laying eggs in the unit, they must be carefully checked with an ovoscope.
When you are convinced of the quality of the eggs, they are placed on a wire rack so that the sharp side of the egg is below. Then the baths placed inside the device are completely filled with water, the temperature of which is about 43-45 ° С. Complete with Blitz Norm 72 there is a special hose with which you can add water without opening the cover - it will be enough to slightly shift it to the side.
Important! All eggs must be tightly secured in a wire rack. This precaution is necessary so that they do not fall out and become damaged during automatic rotation of the grill. If necessary, you can use the limiter or ordinary cardboard. It is advisable to place eggs in the tray when the tray itself is already tilted.
When you make sure that all the material is intact and placed in the grid correctly, you can close the lid and connect the unit to the network. Be sure to check the connection of the heater and automatic rotation.
Incubation mode
The incubation period lasts exactly three weeks. All this time, it is necessary to perform an algorithm for observing the filling material.
Did you know? Crackling from the egg is heard when the chick breaks through the shell with the so-called egg tooth. This is the name of a special growth on the beak of a chick, with the help of which it breaks cracks in the shell. After it is born, the egg tooth falls off.
Every day they check the temperature stability inside the incubator. Ventilate the chamber twice a day, opening the lid for 15 minutes. Once every three days, it is required to check all working mechanisms and add water to the baths. Periodically monitor the operation of the device for automatically turning the filling material - it should work every two hours

. It is also necessary to timely cool the eggs and ovoscopy them (according to the information provided in the instructions). When two days remain until the end of the incubation period (that is, on the 19th day the eggs are inside the unit), you need to turn off the automatic rotation function, and the required amount of water is added to the bathtubs.
To check whether the chick is ready to be born, it is recommended to use an ovoscope. An air cushion should appear in the upper part of the egg, at its wide end. You can also listen to the sounds that come through the shell: the chicks, ready to hatch, squeak and emit a characteristic quiet crackle.
Hatching chicks
If you follow all the instructions and carefully check the filling material before the start of the incubation, the chicks are born within 24 hours. To get out of the shell, the chicks peck the middle part of the egg, after which they rest their paws on the makeshift floor, and with their head on the upper part to break the shell in half. Freed from the shell, the chick dries and rests inside the incubator. During rest, the tourniquet that connected the chick to the egg should dry and fall off.
Did you know? For 21 days of development inside the egg, the penis, being an embryo, receives air through micropores in the egg shell (this is about 6 liters of oxygen), and emits about 4.5 liters of carbon dioxide. The embryo feeds on the yolk.
In order for the chicks to develop well, and the brood of birds is 90%, it is necessary to follow the instructions and carefully monitor the temperature and humidity indicators, add water in time and check the operation of the rotary device.
